Born on 9 August 1975, Mahesh Ghattamaneni is a South-Indian actor and philanthropist. He was born and brought up in Chennai by a family that was already affiliated with the film industry. His father is Siva Rama Krishna, a retired superstar of the Telugu film industry. He completed his schooling at St. Bede's Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School and graduated from Loyola College with a bachelor’s degree in commerce. He further underwent training in acting from director L. Satyanand. Mahesh first faced the cameras when he was just four in ‘Needa’ and did nine films in total as a child artist. In 1999, he debuted opposite Preity Zinta in ‘Rajakumarudu,’ a rom-com Telugu film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film got him his first Nandi award as well. He is best known for his work in films like ‘Okkadu,’ which won him a Filmfare Award and a CineMAA Award.

He won the same awards for ‘Dookudu’ as well. ‘Dookudu’ is an action-cum-comedy film released in 2011. Another action film titled ‘Pokiri,’ starring Ileana D’Cruz, won him a Nandi award as well as a Filmfare. Most recently, his work in the 2014 film, ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu,’ written and directed bySrikanth Addala blessed him with three awards at the Filmfare, South Indian International Movie Awards and TSR – TV9 National Film Awards. However, his most prestigious win was at the International Indian Film Academy Awards in the category of Best Actor for ‘Srimanthudu’ (a typical drama film starring Shruti Haasan opposite Mahesh). Mahesh is a philanthropist at heart and keeps his charity work undisclosed. However, it is known that he contributes about thirty percent of his income to causes.

He is an active member of Men Against Rape and Discrimination campaign led by Farhan Akhtar and holds an ambassador’s post in Heal-a-Child Foundation, an NGO funding medical expenses for underprivileged children. It is known that he has generously contributed twenty-five lakhs for reconstruction after the destruction caused by the Hudhud cyclone in Andhra Pradesh. In 2015, he adopted and took responsibility for developing the infrastructure and providing for the basic amenities in his father’s native village, Burripalem (Tenali). In the year 1999, Mahesh was launched as the lead actor alongside Preity Zinta, in the film Raja Kumarudu, which went on to become a box-office blockbuster and earned him the precious Nandi Award for Best Male Debut. After two flop movies, namely, Yuvaraju and Vamsi, success had paved its way for Mahesh as he received the Nandi Special Jury Award for his next film, Murari. In 2003, he achieved his first Filmfare Award for best Telugu actor for his revered performance in the phenomenal hit, Okkadu. He had also received the Nandi Best Actor Award for his role in Nijam, which was not very appreciated as a film.

Furthermore, Mahesh has given notable performances in movies like Pokiri(2006), Businessman(2012), Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu(2013) and Dookudu(2011). His acting expertise and dynamic personality were proclaimed globally after the release of his films.

Apart from acting, Mahesh devotes a considerable amount of time towards endorsing brands. He is the brand ambassador of brands like Thums Up(Andhra Pradesh), Royal Stag, Santoor soap and much more. Charulatha Mani (born 21 January 1981) is an Indian Carnatic and playback singer. She has been performing Carnatic concerts since 1999. She has also sung for movies. Charulatha has appeared in numerous TV shows and radio programmes, in India, and overseas. She has recorded many, CD and DVD albums. Her Isai Payanam TV show, aired on Jaya TV,[1] deals with Ragas in Carnatic and film music and has completed more than 80 episodes.

She initially trained under her mother Smt Hemalatha Mani, Veena artiste, and later trained under vidwans Sri Sandhyavananam Srinivasa Rao, and Calcutta K. S. Krishnamurthy. Charulatha Mani has performed in all major sabhas in Chennai and all over India.[2][3] She has toured London, Canada,[4] Australia, Singapore, the United States, Sri Lanka, and Europe.

She has been awarded the 'Woman Achievers Award' (2009),[5] M.S. Subbulakshmi Endowment Award from Narada Gana Sabha (2008),[6]Yuva Kala Bharathi from Bharat Kalachar in 2005, and Best Young Vocalist awards from Narada Gana Sabha (2003), Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha (2003), SAFE (2002), and Ragam Tanam Pallavi Award from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha (2002). Charulatha is the recipient of Scholarships from the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu for performing and advanced learning of music.

Charulatha's music is frequently featured in radio broadcasts and television appearances.[7] She is currently presenting Isai Cafe on Raj TV, and Isai Payanam on Jaya TV,[8] which presents ragas in Carnatic and Film music.[9][10]
